Fox Class Home Learning

Dear Parents

Please see on this page activities to use with your child to maintain continuity of learning whilst they are having to isolate at home.

The pack contains; daily reading, writing and maths activities which align with the lessons we are covering in school this term.

It is important that your child reads regularly and has the opportunity to share their books and answer questions based on the text. If you need reading material dropped off at your home please contact the school office, so this can be arranged.

Daily times table practise and instant recall of number facts are also part of our usual school day, and therefore would be beneficial to your child’s general progress.

This half term, Year 3 children are concentrating on number pairs which make 20, revision of 2, 5 and 10 times table and division facts as well as counting in 50s and 100s.

Year 4 children are concentrating on number pairs which make 100 and revision of the 3 and 4 times table and division facts, as well as counting in 50s, 25s and 1000s.

A school day time schedule is expected, with at least an hour of English and an hour of Maths each day. Following a regular routine where ever possible, is recommended to help with the transition between home learning and returning to the classroom. Therefore, regular bedtimes, and morning routines, with breaks and time for exercise, creative play and relaxation are all important.

If there is anything you need support with please contact the school office.

Kind regards
Mrs Hynes - Fox Class Teacher
